Going by Koenigsegg’s releases, market demand inspired them to produce limited edition versions of their CCX and CCXR supercars. What’s not so awe-inspiring, though in keeping with their record so far, the limited edition versions would be called the Koenigsegg Edition CCX and the Koenigsegg Edition CCXR! Despite the funny names they come up with, Koenigsegg’s cars have the substance to rule the roost with peerless performance.
What makes these Limited Edition models truly special is an upgradation of the V8 engine from 4.7L to 5.0L, delivering way more power than before. The pair of superchargers attached, the CCX generates 888 HP (up from 806 HP) and the CCXR , possessing the ability to run on E85 ethanol, produces the same 1,018 HP as the standard model. Both the Editions, CCX and CCXR going by official releases from Koenigsegg, have identical performance standards, going up to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds. The CCXR, though, has way more acceleration with its higher octane fuel and will begin to pull away from the CCX, reaching top speeds of 250+ mph.
