ferrari f50
Designed to celebrate Ferrari’s golden anniversary in 1996, The Ferrari F50 is low slung with huge front air intakes, sleek lines extending to the rear airfoil granting a graceful touch in addition to aerodynamic slopes behind both the seats. The Ferrari F50 is said to be part Batmobile, part ballistic missile.
The F50 has a 12-cylinder, 4.75-liter, rear-mounted engine churning out 520 hp, accelerating the super car from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just around 3.7 seconds. The Ferrari with a carbon-fiber body can reach a top speed of a splendid 203 mph. Given the rarity of the occasion, just 349 F50s were made in Ferrari’s factory located near Modeno in north Italy. The automaker reported that almost half of the number had been reserved even before the Ferrari F50 was introduced!
