The 2009 International Builder’s Show witnessed the unveiling of the 2010 ROUSH Liquid Propane Injected Ford F-250, attracting a beeline of car-enthusiasts, especially those looking for a medium-duty truck which delivered both economy and greener emissions.

Data supplied by the Propane Education and Research Council (PERC) shows propane to be currently the most widely-used alternate fuel with more than 10 million automobiles using it across the globe. Propane-powered engines offer a 5-30% cut in fuel expenditure as compared to gasoline-powered engines, in addition to a 20% reduction in nitrous oxide emissions, a 60% cut in carbon dioxide emissions and also highly reduced particulate emissions. Beginning with the propane-powered F-150, selling hundreds of vehicles and conversion packages, ROUSH sought assistance from the PERC, already a strong supporter in the development of propane-powered vehicles, resulting in the F-250 which answered the customers’ demands for medium-sized trucks.
